Proceeding contribution from Bill Olner (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 23 November 2005. It occurred during Adjournment debate on UK Space Policy.
UK Space Policy
: Does the hon. Lady agree that we are in danger of missing a golden opportunity, because Departments are not talking to each other? The Department of Trade and Industry has put in an awful lot of work and money. Lord Sainsbury has been a tremendous champion of space over many years. We are fortunate that he has held that position for so long. The problem is not Lord Sainsbury, but the fact that other Departments do not realise the relevance of the space industry and of joining all the bits together.
