Proceeding contribution from Lord Roberts of Llandudno (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 26 October 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL].
Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL]
We appreciate the Minister’s position. There is still a question about the regulations regarding a number of the commissioner’s activities. We still ask whether the evolution of devolution is not set back by the need to ask for the Secretary of State’s consent. However, I am sure that there will be opportunities to discuss this further on Report. I thank the Minister for his reply, and I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendment No. 43 not moved.]
