Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL]

I am grateful to the Minister for his explanation. My understanding, subject to a further reading of the Minister’s words, is that the commissioner can assist with or examine a case in which a person has moved out of Wales or has since died. I questioned the advisability of retrospection on grounds of cost, complexity and other aspects of retrospective cases. However, as I understand it, the commissioner has some discretion as far as retrospection is concerned. As I said, my understanding is subject to a closer study of what the Minister has said, but I am more satisfied than I was when I moved the amendment. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment.
