Proceeding contribution from Lord Evans of Temple Guiting (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 26 October 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL].
Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL]
I am sorry to turn this into a discussion, but in the circumstances that the noble Lord has outlined it would be a matter only for the police to take the appropriate action. The police would be able to gain entry to that private property to look after the battered or starving older person.
