Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL]

I am sure the Minister will be aware—I am certainly aware—of what is happening in England and the responsibilities that are being placed on the proposed Commission for Equality and Human Rights. In England, that commission is the equivalent of the commissioner for the elderly in Wales. Of course, that commission will have very important employment responsibilities. There are also other differences. We are concerned to know whether it is intended that, at some stage, some of the functions of the English commission might be transferred in Wales to the commissioner.
