To add to what my noble friend has just said, the noble Lord, Lord Roberts of Conwy, made some cogent points. But people between the ages of 50 and 60 are very often discriminated against in employment and in other matters of that kind. There must surely be some provision made for that in the Equality Bill; I have not looked at that Bill in detail, but I suspect that some of the rights that we are talking about will be protected in it. There a number of different ways in which to look at the matter, but I agree with my noble friend that 60 is appropriate. Obviously there is matter of debate between 50 and 60 as far as certain issues are concerned.
