Proceeding contribution from Baroness Anelay of St Johns (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 14 December 2005. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Identity Cards Bill.

Identity Cards Bill

I am sure that we are in a forgiving mood. Certainly, it would be churlish to pursue Amendment No. 217 any further. However much I may not like some of the provisions in the Bill, I am sure that the explanation given by the Minister is as full as I could reasonably expect. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment and indicate that it will not re-appear at Report. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendment No. 218 not moved.] Clause 23 agreed to. [Amendment No. 219 not moved.]
