Compensation Bill [HL]
I have no hesitation in supporting what the noble Lord, Lord Hunt of Wirral, has said. It seems entirely wrong that the Claims Standards Council should be the regulator. The amendments in the next group in my name are directed to ensuring that the council will not be the regulator. When we reach the group, I shall explain at slightly greater length why I feel that that should be the case.
