Proceeding contribution from Lord Goldsmith (Labour) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 9 February 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Reform Bill (HL).
Company Law Reform Bill
As the noble Lord put that question to me, I understand his point, but it is equally important to recognise the force of the point that I made before. Notice has to be provided to the other directors; then the making of the declaration must be included in the minutes of the next directors’ meeting. So there is the transparency for which the noble Lord is pressing. But perhaps we both need to reflect on both propositions.
