Proceeding contribution from Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 1 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Reform Bill [HL].

Company Law Reform Bill [HL]

I understand absolutely what the Minister is saying and I accept that technically he is quite right. However, from the practical, commercial and business point of view, this does not mesh with the real way that British business operates. I am grateful for the Minister’s attention and for trying to provide an answer, but I am afraid that answer remains theoretical rather than practical.
