Proceeding contribution from Lord Razzall (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 1 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Reform Bill [HL].
Company Law Reform Bill [HL]
I will obviously think about what the Minister says. I think that it is a novel proposition. Why should the directors of a holding company be put to the trouble of having to apply for relief or go to court for something of which they were completely unaware, where the penalty should lie with somebody else? I will reflect on the issue, but I have a feeling that we may well come back on it. Meanwhile, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
