Proceeding contribution from Lord Lea of Crondall (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 1 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Reform Bill [HL].
Company Law Reform Bill [HL]
I thank the Minister for that explanation. This is obviously an issue which goes quite wide. I suppose I am looking for movement towards a multinational company law. I do not expect this amendment to be able to do that in an easy, straightforward way. But there is a debate to be had on these questions, and it will be important to study in Hansard exactly what has been said. We will then give more thought to how we proceed. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendments Nos. 303 to 305 not moved.] Clause 382 agreed to. Clauses 383 to 389 agreed to. Clause 390 [Contents of directors’ report: business review]:
