Proceeding contribution from Lord Rooker (Labour) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 2 March 2006. It occurred during Debates on delegated legislation on Budget (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.
Budget (Northern Ireland) Order 2006
The short answer and the sincere answer to that has to be ““yes””. I put the issues the noble Lord raised with me last July and subsequently to the head of the Civil Service in Northern Ireland; they did not just go into the department. So far as I know, I still have some responses to the noble Lord outstanding on the particular issues he raised about duplicate applications. I saw the documents for myself. It did look like slipshod and unsatisfactory work. As to what happens on which date, I cannot be sure, but the issue he has raised today, along with the outstanding points, will certainly be put and answers provided. On Question, Motion agreed to.
