Proceeding contribution from Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 30 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Reform Bill [HL].

Company Law Reform Bill [HL]

My name is attached to Amendment No. A208ZAH, which is in this group. I entirely support what the noble Lord, Lord Sharman, said. The only reason that we tabled a separate amendment is that we thought we would strike out subsection (5) as well, since that contained the penalties about which the noble Lord was concerned.
