Proceeding contribution from Lady Hermon (Ulster Unionist Party) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 20 April 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HC) on Northern Ireland (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill.
Northern Ireland (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill
That is even more impressive. The point of my amendment was to ask the Minister to clarify the wording of the Bill. Clause 19 and subsequent provisions always refer to"““a new Northern Ireland department””." That implies that there will be only one Department.
