Proceeding contribution from Lord Wills (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 27 April 2006. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Honours System (Reform).

Honours System (Reform)

: My hon. Friend is extremely generous to give way so often. Does he agree that the metropolitan bias referred to by my hon. Friend the Member for North-West Leicestershire (David Taylor) reflects a deeper problem with the honours system, which is that it disproportionately rewards status rather than service?
