Proceeding contribution from Tony Wright (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 27 April 2006. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Honours System (Reform).

Honours System (Reform)

: It is the highest honour in the land to sit in the House of Commons. It should be an honour, as a legislator, to sit in the House of Lords, but we should not confuse an honours system with serving in a Chamber of Parliament. They are different honorific activities.
