Proceeding contribution from Kelvin Hopkins (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 27 April 2006. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Honours System (Reform).
Honours System (Reform)
: Those are matters for political parties. A political party that had such obvious corruption within it would hopefully suffer at the polls as a result. I would certainly want my party, at least, to be a genuinely democratic party where the members select their candidates in a free and democratic fashion.
