Proceeding contribution from Meg Hillier (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 3 May 2006. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Army Barracks (Deaths).

Army Barracks (Deaths)

: I agree that appointing an armed forces ombudsman would be a good move. Does my hon. Friend not also agree that such a person's remit should require local police forces to provide for disclosure? Today, I received a letter from the Minister for Policing, Security and Community Safety saying that it was entirely a matter for Surrey police whether to disclose all the evidence to Mr. and Mrs. Gray in my constituency and to the other families of those who have died.
