Proceeding contribution from Lord Adonis (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 3 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Bill [HL].
Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Bill [HL]
We certainly intend to produce guidance. On who will be providing direct information and assistance, I cannot give a specific answer at the moment. However, we intend that such a service will be available so that employers can check on the position. Whether that service is provided by the IBB or the CRB—which in fact will be doing the operational work—is not yet confirmed, but I will write to the noble Baroness.
