Proceeding contribution from Christopher Chope (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Friday, 12 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Bill.
Climate Change and SustainableEnergy Bill
Does my hon. Friend accept that the figures that he has just quoted, which originally emanated from the intergovernmental panel on climate change, were changed two years ago by the IPCC to 335 parts per million from 290 parts per million. Given that some 9,600 years ago, the figure was 348 parts per million, that means that there has not been the huge increase that is being claimed.
