Proceeding contribution from Lord Adonis (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 26 June 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Childcare Bill.

Childcare Bill

My Lords, I beg to move that the Bill do now pass. I know that I am not supposed to say anything either, but I cannot resist thanking noble Lords on all sides of the House for the enormous help they have given us in improving the Bill. It is now an excellent measure that I think will be pathbreaking in terms of children’s services. We are very grateful to noble Lords for their work. Moved, That the Bill do now pass.—(Lord Adonis.) On Question, Bill passed, and returned to the Commons with amendments.
