Proceeding contribution from Baroness Thornton (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 25 July 2006. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Education and Inspections Bill.

Education and Inspections Bill

I thank my noble friend for such a detailed response. I hope that he did not think that those of us making these proposals did not recognise that great improvements had been made and that, as he rightly said, we were on the right track, travelling in the right direction on these issues. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. Clause 84 [Enforcement of disciplinary penalties: general]: [Amendments Nos. 222B to 222D not moved.] Clause 84 agreed to. Clause 85 agreed to.
