Radioactive Waste Disposal (Foulness)

I present a petition concerning the disposal of radioactive waste on Foulness island. The petitionhas led to a constructive dialogue between myself,the Ministry of Defence, the Atomic Weapons Establishment, the Environment Agency and Qinetiq. The petition has over 700 signatures and was completed with the support of the Southend Echo. The petition states: The Petitioners request that the House of Commons call upon the Government to do all within its power to prevent this disposal of radioactive waste on Foulness and ensure that this does not occur at any time in the future. And the Petitioners remain, etc. To lie upon the Table.
