Proceeding contribution from Martin Horwood (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 25 October 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Charities Bill (HL).
Charities Bill [Lords]
I remember the hon. Gentleman teasing members of the Standing Committee about supporting an amendment, which he described as"““harmless, albeit not entirely necessary””.—[Official Report, Standing Committee A, 4 July 2006; c. 6.]" Now, that amendment has been introduced as a Government amendment. Should we regard something which is harmless, albeit not entirely necessary, as the High Peak principle?
