Proceeding contribution from Andrew Murrison (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 7 November 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Armed Forces Bill.
Armed Forces Bill
I do not intend to attack the hon. Gentleman or the case that he is trying to pursue. He has mentioned the daughter and widow of Private Farr, so I presume that he will be disappointed by subsection (4)(b) of the clause that amendment No. 51 would insert, which removes"““any right, entitlement or liability””" and therefore confines the measure to gesture politics. It has no substance.
