I quite understand the Minister’s remarks. Given the interest in world war one pardons among hon. Members on both sides of the House, it was inevitable that that debate would take up a huge amount of our time. We have further important issues to raise, so I hope that the House will agree with the Minister’s suggestion. I understand that the Marshall of the Royal Air Force, Lord Craig, spotted that the issue of mutiny was absent from the provisions. The Lords amendments are sensible additions to the Bill.
