Proceeding contribution from Angus Robertson (Scottish National Party) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 6 December 2006. It occurred during Adjournment debate on European Affairs.
European Affairs
I welcome debates on European business on the Floor of the House, but may I raise an issue that I have raised with the Minister for Europe, the right hon. Member for Ashfield (Mr. Hoon), and in previous debates? It concerns timing. Today’s debate coincides with the start, in 15 minutes’ time, of a meeting of the European Scrutiny Committee. How can Members on either side of the House who have a particular interest in European business possibly be in two places at the same time?
