Proceeding contribution from Lord Kingsland (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 22 January 2007. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Legal Services Bill [HL].
Legal Services Bill [HL]
Indeed, as chairman of the Joint Committee my noble friend knows more about the substance of the amendment than I do. The Joint Committee’s recommendation was quite firm that will-writing should now be brought within the purview of the Bill. The Joint Committee clearly had evidence to that effect before it. The Government are contesting the strength of that evidence, as I understand it. I hope that between now and the Report stage—I yield to the Minister.
