Proceeding contribution from Lord Oakeshott of Seagrove Bay (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 1 March 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Welfare Reform Bill.
Welfare Reform Bill
The direction of travel which the Minister has outlined is good. I still do not see why the amendment is unnecessary, but given that she has said that transparency will be improved, I am happy to support her.
