Proceeding contribution from Clare Short (Independent Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 14 March 2007. It occurred during Debate on Trident.
Trident

Friend will remember that when we on the national executive were persuaded by his policy document, we made a commitment to try to come out of nuclear possession together with all the other smaller nuclear powers. Does he think that that part of the policy was ever honoured or that any serious effort was put behind it?
