Occupational Pensions

I will give way in a minute, but I think that the shadow Chancellor should have an education before I do so. In 1996, the assets of pension funds were £549 billion. By 1999, they were £820 billion. By 2006, even after the stock market crash, the assets of pension funds were more than a trillion pounds. In other words, the assets of pension funds have doubled during the period of this Labour Government.
