Proceeding contribution from Liam Fox (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 21 June 2007. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Armed Forces Personnel.
Armed Forces Personnel
It is an interesting definition of overnight that after more than 10 years the Government are still unable properly to get to grips with the problem. I am the first to admit that improvements are being made—we have all seen them—but the fact remains that the problem is still far too great and the quality of accommodation far too low in far too many parts of the country. To say that the Government have not had time to deal with it is one of the lamest excuses I have heard.
