As the hon. Gentleman will know, I am a co-sponsor—with my right hon. Friend the Member for Islwyn (Mr. Touhig)—of early-day motion 1054, which calls for a halt to the closure programme and also for the generation of new business. Could we not jointly lobby local authorities about payment of council tax through the post office network?
