Proceeding contribution from Cheryl Gillan (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 28 February 2008. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Welsh Affairs.

Welsh Affairs

I think that the hon. Gentleman may be pleased to hear about another piece of progress. Tomorrow, in Llandudno, the very exciting Welsh Conservative conference will be opening—and for the first time we will be using a Welsh simultaneous translation service. It is at great cost, but we are looking forward to it. I hope that he will join me in welcoming that piece of progress from the party that gave this country the Welsh Language Act 1993.
