I thank the Minister for that helpful reply, by which I feel in part reassured. A much less specific power is being suggested for the Care Quality Commission in respect of monitoring powers under the Mental Capacity Act for Bournewood patients, but it is certainly an improvement on the bare bones of what we have at the moment.
