Department of Energy and Climate Change
My hon. Friend makes an important point. I think that the 1 per cent. to 2 per cent. recommended by Stern was for 2050, so we have some time to get there. I shall take that as a homework point to go away and examine. Working out the direction of travel for public spending and what will be required is an important part of the attempt to tackle climate change.
