Proceeding contribution from Lord Hunt of Kings Heath (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 12 January 2009. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Marine and Coastal Access Bill [HL].

Marine and Coastal Access Bill [HL]

Paragraph 19 of Schedule 1 says: "““Subject to the following provisions of this Schedule, the MMO may regulate— (a) its own procedure (including quorum), and (b) the procedure of any of its committees or sub-committees (including quorum)””." The intention is that it would be for the MMO to decide on this quorum. I am sure that we can rely on the good judgment of those appointed to come to a sensible conclusion on that.
