Proceeding contribution from Lord Hunt of Kings Heath (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 12 January 2009. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Marine and Coastal Access Bill [HL].
Marine and Coastal Access Bill [HL]
The reassurance for the noble Baroness is paragraph 20(2), which states: "ββThe MMO must keep a record of any authorisations under sub-paragraph (1)ββ." It therefore follows that it will be the responsibility of the MMO to make sure that that record is kept up to date, which would avoid the problem that the noble Lord has raised.
