Coroners and Justice Bill
I do not deny the temptation, but it is for that reason that under clause 11(1)(b):"““The Secretary of State may certify an investigation… into a person's death if of the opinion that… no other measures would be adequate to prevent the matter being made public.””" That is very explicit language and that provision would itself be the subject of very anxious scrutiny by the court on a judicial review of a Secretary of State's certificate.
