Welfare Reform Bill

This is not a second U-turn. I say to the Secretary of State that we would get a lot further in the debate if, instead of making these grand claims about the position of my party, he actually looked at the facts. On 20 July last year, my predecessor, the hon. Member for Epsom and Ewell (Chris Grayling), issued a press release in which he made our position absolutely clear:"““Drug addicts should not be able to claim benefits unconditionally.””" That is our position, so I would be grateful if the Secretary of State apologised for misrepresenting it.
