Proceeding contribution from Patrick Hall (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 18 March 2009. It occurred during Opposition day on The Economy.
The Economy
It is for the hon. Gentleman to answer for his party. According to the hon. Gentleman’s motion, we are""nine months into a recession"." That means that the recession started last July. During Prime Minister’s Question Time, however, the leader of the hon. Gentleman’s party said that it had started in April—12 months ago. Could the hon. Gentleman help to resolve the apparent confusion in the Conservative party?
