The Economy
I hesitate to involve myself in this economic seminar with the Liberal spokesman, but again, I did not understand—unusually—his reply to the shadow Chancellor’s intervention. In November, the hon. Member for Twickenham (Dr. Cable) said that he wanted tax cuts on the one hand and stimulus on the other, and that tax cuts would, in some miraculous way, fund the stimulus. I do not get that at all. I did not hear an answer to what he was asked.
