Proceeding contribution from Lord Clarke of Hampstead (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 31 March 2009. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Postal Services Bill [HL].
Postal Services Bill [HL]
I thank the Minister for that. Of course, I would not overlook it. If you went through the Bill you might find one or two things that you could pray in aid on this one, but in Clause 18(1) the Secretary of State has the only power to make these amendments. However, as it is getting late and we want to get on to other matters, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 61 withdrawn. Amendment 62 not moved. Clause 18 agreed. Clause 19: Protection against adverse treatment Amendments 62A to 69 not moved. Clause 19 agreed.
