Proceeding contribution from Baroness Noakes (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 21 April 2009. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Saving Gateway Accounts Bill.

Saving Gateway Accounts Bill

I thank the Minister for that. He might also like to reflect on why joint and several liability is therefore required. If the money has not been paid in and is in one place, that is the place you are trying to get the money from. I have no problem with trying to get the money from where the money has gone, I think that I am challenging whether it should come from any other place. If the Minister will take the issue away and look at it I will be happy to withdraw the amendment. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 42 withdrawn. Clause 12 agreed. Clause 13 agreed.
