Proceeding contribution from Nigel Evans (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 21 April 2009. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Transport (North-West).

Transport (North-West)

Before the hon. Gentleman moves on to his next campaign, may I drag him back to his first campaign? Although it is great that a lot of pensioners now have the opportunity to travel free around their areas, does he recognise that there are vast tracts in the north-west, particularly in my constituency, where there are no bus services in many villages? If we are to ensure that all pensioners can access what he has talked about, rural bus services in the north-west need to be enhanced.
