Proceeding contribution from Peter Bone (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 23 April 2009. It occurred during Budget debate on Amendment of the law.

Amendment of the law

I am sorry to interrupt the hon. Gentleman's well thought out speech. The Government say that the car scrappage scheme is a green measure, but surely so much carbon dioxide is used in the production of a new car that it is actually an anti-green measure.
