Proceeding contribution from Pat McFadden (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 9 July 2009. It occurred during Topical debate on UK Manufacturing.

UK Manufacturing

I beg to move,"That this House has considered the matter of UK manufacturing." The business of making things—manufacturing—matters to every Member of this House: it has been a defining part of our economy for hundreds of years; it has contributed to our reputation across the world; and it is a significant part of our economic strength.
