Energy and Climate Change and Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
My hon. Friend is right and it is completely inadequate. The Energy Bill was an opportunity to take urgent action on this point. Other countries protect themselves against the possibility of interrupted gas supplies, and nothing in the Bill would address that problem.
