Proceeding contribution from Paul Flynn (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 8 December 2009. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Afghanistan Strategy.
Afghanistan Strategy
The hon. Gentleman spoke too briefly. He agrees that the Taliban has control of 80 per cent. of the country, but they have not invited al-Qaeda back. They have the greatest vested interest in ensuring that al-Qaeda is not in the country again because it caused the Taliban to lose control of the Government.
